Glenns Creek Road will be closed Sept. 13-14

FPB replacing transmission poles between 8:30 a.m. and 3 p.m.

FRANKFORT – FPB will replace 2 transmission poles on Glenns Creek Road next Wednesday and Thursday, Sept. 13 and 14. The road will be closed to traffic between 8:30 a.m. and 3 p.m. each day. There will be turnaround areas at Harrod Stone in Franklin County and Glenns Creek Distilling near the Woodford County line.

Boil Water Advisory cancelled for Leestown Ln. - 9/5/17

The Water Department of the Frankfort Plant Board is notifying you that the Division of Water of the Kentucky Department for Environmental Protection has now canceled the Boil Water Advisory.

This Advisory was issued 9/3/17 due to the loss of pressure in the water main caused by Plant Board crews repairing a water main break

The streets affected were:

·       931 to 961 Leestown Ln

·       867 Wilkinson Blvd

Interruption of Water Service and Boil Water Advisory - 9/3/17

The water has been turned off in the Leestown Lane area in order to repair a break in the water main.

The Water Department of the Frankfort Plant Board advises to boil the water before drinking or using it for cooking. The advisory is in effect for the following area:

• 931 to 961 Leestown Ln

• 867 Wilkinson Blvd

A vigorous boil for at least two minutes is recommended. This Boil Water Advisory is a precautionary measure due to a loss of pressure in the water main causedby Plant Board crews repairing a water main break.

This Advisory will remain in effect until lab analysis of water samples taken confirms that the potable water supply in the effected area is safe to drink. You will receive a notice when this advisory is lifted.

UK football game this Saturday on CBS Sports Network

Season opener to air on FPB Preferred Cable channels 143 and 643 at 4 p.m.

FRANKFORT – The University of Kentucky football season opener will air this Saturday, September 2, at 4 p.m. on CBS Sports Network. FPB Preferred Cable customers with an advanced set top can find this on channels 143 and 643 in HD. The Wildcats will play the Golden Eagles of Southern Mississippi at Roberts Stadium in Hattiesburg, Mississippi.

FPB to replace lights on Singing Bridge Aug. 29 and 30

FRANKFORT – FPB will replace lights on the Singing Bridge this Tuesday and Wednesday, Aug. 29 and 30. One lane of the bridge will be shut down to traffic and one lane will be used to direct traffic across the bridge between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. each day.

Inclement weather alternative dates for the work are Wednesday and Thursday of the following week, Sept. 4 and 5.

Water Interruption and Boil Water Advisory - Noel Ave. 8/22/17

Water service has been interrupted on Noel Ave. in order to repair a water main break. A boil water advisory has been issued. No fire hydrants are affected by the outage.

The Water Department of the Frankfort Plant Board advises to boil the water before drinking or using it for cooking. The advisory is in effect for the following area:

·       400 to 420 Noel Ave

A vigorous boil for at least two minutes is recommended. This Boil Water Advisory is a precautionary measure due to a loss of pressure in the water main caused by Plant Board crews repairing a water main break.

This Advisory will remain in effect until lab analysis of water samples taken confirms that the potable water supply in the effected area is safe to drink. You will receive a notice when this advisory is lifted.
