Community solar is coming soon, and it can deliver real benefits!
Community solar allows homeowners, renters and businesses to share the economic and environmental benefits of solar energy even if their individual properties are not suitable sites for panels.
Community solar expands access to solar for all, including in particular low-to-moderate income customers most impacted by a lack of access, all while building a stronger, distributed, and more resilient electric grid.
This voluntary subscription program provides an opportunity for FPB customers to purchase renewable energy by subscribing to solar blocks. Customers will receive credit on their electricity bills for the power produced from their portion of a solar array, offsetting their electricity costs.
Phase 1, which is now complete and located on the FPB campus, will produce approximately 228,300 kWh/yr.
