Purchasing Agent

The Frankfort Plant Board has an opening for a full-time Purchasing Agent. The successful candidate will serve as the Purchasing Agent for the Plant Board; assists all departments with developing specifications, issuing invitations to bid, and accepting bids; performs related work as required.

Qualified applicants must have High School Diploma/GED, plus specialized schooling and/or on the job education in purchasing and inventory, plus five years related experience.

We offer $22.24 hourly, plus an excellent benefits package including Health, Dental, and Vision insurance and membership in the KY Retirement System.


Seasonal Employment -Telecom Engineering Department

The Frankfort Plant is now accepting applications for a seasonal position in the Telecom Engineering Department. The selected applicant will assist with various engineering related tasks, including collection of data, and assist with maintaining the GIS software data.

Must be enrolled at a university, college or technical school that is accredited by accrediting agencies recognized by the U.S. Department of Education to be eligible for Seasonal Employment, no previous work experience requirements.

We offer $15.00 hourly and available to. Must be available to work Monday thru Friday, 7:00am to 3:30pm, depending on the need and be willing to work in all weather conditions. Must have a valid Kentucky Driver’s license


Custodian

FPB has an opening for a Custodian. The successful candidate will perform routine custodian duties and minor maintenance to maintain a clean, sanitary and safe work environment.

Qualified applicants must have at least 7 to 11 month’s related work experience and be able to follow oral and written instructions. Custodian experience preferred. Must possess and maintain a valid Kentucky driver’s license. Schedule: Monday-Friday, 5:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

We offer $16.16 hourly, plus an excellent benefits package including Health, Dental, and Vision insurance and membership in the KY Retirement System. All applicants must be able to successfully complete drug screening and background investigation.

This position is in-person and not remote.


Chief Electric Engineer

The Frankfort Plant Board is seeking an experienced and dedicated professional to serve as the Chief Electric Engineer. The primary focus for this position will be performing professional type engineering management with respect to electric distribution and transmission systems; providing technical assistance to the public and engineering staff, Plant Board contractors and other departments; supervising system planning and design to include extension of electric facilities; performing studies, modeling, and mapping.

Qualified applicants must have a Bachelor’s degree in Electric Engineering from an accredited college or university plus at least 9 years of relevant experience. Must possess and maintain registration as a Professional Engineer (PE) in the state of Kentucky or be able to receive registration within six months from the date of hire. Must possess and maintain a valid Kentucky Driver’s License. Must be able to respond to emergencies at all hours consistent with departmental travel time policy or be willing to relocate.

We offer an excellent benefits package including Health, Dental, and Vision insurance and membership in the KY Retirement System. Compensation will be based on qualifications. All applicants must be able to successfully complete drug screening and background investigation.


Account Executive

The Frankfort Plant Board has an opening for a full-time Account Executive. The successful candidate is responsible for administering the sales of ad insertion for the Cable Advertising accounts. The successful candidate is responsible for establishing new client accounts as well as maintaining existing client accounts, creating and coordinating sales packages, coordinating the production and completion of commercials, producing and maintaining schedules in support of Frankfort Plant Board marketing initiatives.

Qualified applicants must have a High school or GED, plus 5 years of directly related experience. Experience with ad sales and ad sales reporting software is preferred.

We offer an excellent earnings opportunity through commissioned sales with a $20,000, yearly base salary; and a great benefits package including Health, Dental, and Vision insurance and membership in the KY Retirement System. All applicants must be able to successfully complete drug screening and background investigation. Must possess and maintain a valid Kentucky driver's license.
