Frankfort plant board timeline 1943-2018
In 1943, the City of Frankfort purchased the Tri-City Utilities Company to secure local municipal ownership of utilities, creating the Frankfort Electric and Water Plant Board. In the 76 years since, there have been a lot of changes and technical advances. In 2018, this timeline was unveiled in the lobby of FPB to chart our history.

Peaks Mill Career day
Engaging our community is important to us. We especially like to educate our younger citizens on the services we provide and the skills needed to pursue careers in the utility industry.

Exposing our young students to local career options will help them realize their unlimited possibilities for the future. We were so pleased to participate in the Frankfort IMPACT Experience, a hands-on learning expo hosted by the Frankfort Area Chamber of Commerce. Our Electric Department and Cable 10 crew spent the day with more than 750 middle and high school students to demonstrate careers in those industries.
