SCAM ALERT – FPB does not make phone calls to customers to request payment of any type. If customers receive a call from someone claiming to be an FPB representative, and they ask for any form of payment, please do not give the caller any personal or financial information. Paperless e-bill Customers & Online Statements

FPB is aware that our paperless e-bill customers inadvertently received a paper bill this month and that the online statements were not available. We are working to correct the problem and should have it resolved shortly. It is not necessary for customers already enrolled in e-billing to register again.  We apologize for any inconvenience or confusion this matter may have caused.

Boil Water Advisory Canceled

The Water Department of the Frankfort Plant Board is notifying you that the Division of Water of the Kentucky Department for Environmental Protection has now canceled the Boil Water Advisory.

This Advisory was issued 9/17/14 due to the loss of pressure in the water main caused by a water main break.

The streets affected were:

  • Birchwood Ave from Hillwood Ave to Pinewood Ave

Emergency Exercise Notification

On September 19, 2014, Frankfort / Franklin County emergency responders and law enforcement agencies along with the Franklin County Board of Education and Frankfort Regional Medical Center will be participating in a full scale emergency response exercise.

Emergency crews will be placed into a scenario at approximately 10:00 AM at a location near Western Hills High School and Frankfort Regional Medical Center which should last approximately 2.5 hours. This is an in-service day for the Franklin County School System so normal classroom activities will not be impacted.

This exercise should not delay local traffic and the Frankfort / Franklin County Office of Emergency Management would like to remind residents, parents of students, and businesses in the area that this is only a scenario exercise and not an active disaster scene.

Boil Water Advisory

The Water Department of the Frankfort Plant Board advises to boil the water before drinking or using it for cooking. The advisory is in effect for the following area:

  • Birchwood Ave from Hillwood Ave to Pinewood Ave

A vigorous boil for at least two minutes is recommended. This Boil Water Advisory is a precautionary measure due to a loss of pressure in the water main caused by a water main break.

This Advisory will remain in effect until lab analysis of water samples taken confirms that the potable water supply in the effected area is safe to drink. You will receive a notice when this advisory is lifted.
