Boil Water Advisory Update

The Water Department of the Frankfort Plant Board advises to boil the water before drinking or using it for cooking. The advisory is in effect for the entire East Side of Frankfort areas included:

·       Martin Luther King Blvd

·       East Main St

·       Schenkel Ln

·       Steadmantown Ln

·       Georgetown Rd

·       Versailles Rd to I-64

·       US 421 South to Duckers Rd

·       This advisory includes any surrounding areas and/or subdivisions.

A vigorous boil for at least two minutes is recommended. This Boil Water Advisory is a precautionary measure due to a loss of pressure in the water main caused by a Sewer Contractor damaging a 16 inch pump line that supplies the east side of Frankfort.

This Advisory will remain in effect until lab analysis of water samples taken confirms that the potable water supply in the effected area is safe to drink. You will receive a notice when this advisory is lifted.

Boil Water Advisory - Saturday, Jan. 24 @5pm

On Saturday, 1/24/15 there will be an interruption of water service from 7:00 A.M. until 5:00 P.M. in the following areas:

  • 405 Mero St (Civic Center)
  • Fountain Place Shops

Immediately following there will be a Boil Water Advisory.

A vigorous boil for at least two minutes is recommended. This Boil Water Advisory is a precautionary measure due to a loss of pressure in the water main caused by Plant Board crews installing a new main line valve.

This Advisory will remain in effect until lab analysis of water samples taken confirms that the potable water supply in the affected area is safe to drink. You will receive a notice when the advisory is lifted.

Customers should be aware that FPB DOES NOT call customers requesting payment over the phone for any FPB service or late fee. FPB never does business this way. Should you ever receive a call from someone claiming to be an FPB employee, and you have any doubt as to their validity, please hang up and call our office to confirm. Individuals coming to your home claiming to be FPB employees should have proper identification. Anyone who cannot identify them-self to your satisfaction should be turned away.
