All FPB Phone service has been restored. Thank you for your patience.
FPB is experiencing a phone service outage with our third party vendor. FPB staff is working with the third party to restore service. Sorry for the inconvenience and thank you for your patience.
FPB Water crews are in the process of turning water back on in the 3rd Street and Thomas Place area of downtown following the earlier outage. A Boil Water Advisory is in effect.
Tomorrow morning (Tuesday, 3/17/15) the FPB Phone Department will be conducting maintenance to repair telephone service issues. These necessary repairs will be conducted between 5:30am and 6:00am.
During this maintenance window, all FPB Phone service will be interrupted (incoming AND outgoing calls). Thank you in advance for your patience.
Water service is interrupted or impacted at the 300 block of W. 3rd Street. This area includes the FPB Downtown Office and City Hall. Once water service is restored, a Boil Water Advisory will be ordered for the impacted area.
The Water Department of the Frankfort Plant Board advises to boil the water before drinking or using it for cooking. The advisory is in effect for the following area:
Conway St from W Fourth St to W Second St
W Third St from Steele St to Conway St
Thomas Pl.
A vigorous boil for at least two minutes is recommended. This Boil Water Advisory is a precautionary measure due to a loss of pressure in the water main caused by a water main break.
This Advisory will remain in effect until lab analysis of water samples taken confirms that the potable water supply in the effected area is safe to drink. You will receive a notice when this advisory is lifted.
If you have any questions concerning the Boil Water Advisory please call 352-4372

A combined workforce effort between the City of Frankfort and Franklin County to remove snow from the downtown area to help alleviate drainage problems will begin this evening at 6 p.m. and continue through the night.
Snow removal will resume Saturday night at 6 p.m. if needed.
If possible, please move any vehicles, or be available to move vehicles from the streets so crews can remove as much snow as possible. We apologize for the inconvenience but this is a vital function and will help alleviate potential drainage and flooding problems.
Due to road conditions, Franklin County garbage service will be postponed Friday. Residents with Thursday and Friday collection are asked to put their carts out on Saturday for pickup on Saturday and Monday. Thank you for your patience as we work to keep everyone safe and put waste in its place!
Service has been restored to the Leawood area. The Capitol campus is still without power. Thank you for your continued patience.
