The Frankfort Plant Board (FPB) News and Updates page provides customers detailed information on all pertinent happenings regarding FPB including, boil water advisories, network negotiations, outage reports and more.
FPB Electric crews have completed work regarding the temporary electric outage which was necessary to complete repairs as a result of today's earlier outage. Power to all areas should now be restored. If you continue to experience an outage, please report your situation to 352-4372. Thank you for your patience.
In order to complete repairs from the earlier electric outage, FPB Electric will be briefly shutting down power to parts of Thorn Hill, Holmes St., Colonial Trace and Schenkel Lane. This outage is expected to last only about five minutes. We thank you for your patience as we complete repairs.
FPB Electric crews have restored electric to all areas except and Schenkelwood and Imperial Mobile Home Park. Crews are working to restore power as quickly as possible. Updates will posted as available.
FPB Electric crews are currently responding to a widespread outage which is impacting but not limited to the following areas: Thorn Hill, Colonial Trace, Silverlake, Two Creeks, Ridgeview, Georgetown Road, and parts of Indian Hills and Schenkel Lane.
FPB Electric crews are responding to a service interruption impacting the following areas: Capitol, Capitol Annex, Leawood Dr, Berry Hill, and Old Lawrenceburg Rd. Updates will follow when available. Thank you for your patience.
In the next few weeks, FPB will begin the process of shutting down our @fewpb.net email service. FPB has developed a plan to provide affected customers with a solution to move their email, contacts, calendars, and Google Drive cloud storage files to another email account. We will contact the affected @fewpb.net customers directly in the coming weeks with more information about how this process will work. Please don’t panic. We will provide more information with detailed steps for a successful transition in the coming weeks.
Boil Water Advisory Is Now Cancelled

The Water Department of the Frankfort Plant Board is notifying you that the Division of Water of the Kentucky Department forEnvironmental Protection has now cancelled the Boil Water Advisory.
This Advisory was issued 3/16/15 due to the loss of pressure in the water main caused by Plant Board crews repairing a water main break.
The streets affected were:
• Conway St from W Fourth St to W Second St
• W Third St from Steele St to Conway St
• Thomas Pl.

FPB is experiencing a phone service outage with our third party vendor. FPB staff is working with the third party to restore service. Sorry for the inconvenience and thank you for your patience.
FPB Water crews are in the process of turning water back on in the 3rd Street and Thomas Place area of downtown following the earlier outage. A Boil Water Advisory is in effect.
