Boil Water Advisory issued - 1/12

The Water Department of the Frankfort Plant Board advises to boil the water before drinking or using it for cooking. The advisory is in effect for the following area:

• Allnut Dr from 113 Allnut Dr to Schenkel Ln

• 114 to 124 Schenkel Ln

A vigorous boil for at least two minutes is recommended. This Boil Water Advisory is a precautionary measure due to a loss of pressure in the water main causedby a water main break.

This Advisory will remain in effect until lab analysis of water samples taken confirms that the potable water supply in the effected area is safe to drink. You will receive a notice when this advisory is lifted.

Electric Outage Update

As of 4:40 p.m., electric crews are now working on the last known outage. Power has been restored to all other areas and staff will be monitoring for additional outages as high wind conditions continue.

High Winds Causing Electric Outages

Frankfort Plant Board electric crews are currently responding to scattered power outages throughout the system due to high winds and fallen trees.  Crews are working to restore services as soon as possible.

WDKY Transmitter Issues 1-5-17

WDKY is experiencing technical difficulties with their transmitter. FPB Cable channels 5, 30, and 505 are effected. Those channels will return as soon as the transmitter is restored. We apologize for the inconvenience.  

FPB-TV Produces Program on Cycle Billing

FPB-TV has produced a video answering some of the most common questions related to the upcoming move to cycle billing. The video has started playback dates on FPB-TV and will also be available on video-on-demand. In addition, the video is available on FPB's YouTube page.

Electric Repairs Completed

FPB Electric crews have completed repairs to the affected area and electric service has now been restored. Should you continue to have issues with your power, please report your problem to 352-4372.

FPB Telephone Answering System - UPDATE

As of 10:30 a.m., the issues involving the FPB telephone answering system have been resolved. Thank you for your patience as we worked through this issue.

Temporary Electric Outage

FPB Electric Department crews will be cutting power at about 11:30 a.m. Tuesday to make repairs resulting from damage received yesterday. The areas affected include: Big Eddy, Travis Circle, Harrod Stone, Kentucky Employees Credit Union, Franklin County Health Department, Cold Harbor Drive, and Wilson's Nursery.

Repairs are estimated to be completed by noon. We apologize for the inconvenience as we make these necessary repairs to the electric system.

FPB Telephone Answering System Issue

FPB staff are currently working with our telephone answering system vendor to address an issue with that system. While the message system is stating you have reached our after-hours emergency dispatch center, Customer Service CSR's are available and will be answering your call based upon the queue.
