Boil Water Advisory Lifted for Marlowe Ct. Area - 1/12/18

The Water Department of the Frankfort Plant Board is notifying you that the Division of Water of the Kentucky Department for Envirnmental Protection has now cancelled the Boil Water Advisory.

This Advisory was issued 1/11/18 due to the loss of pressure in the water main caused by Plant Board crews repairing a water main break.

The streets affected were:

• Marlowe Ct from Hickory Dr to Winding Way Dr

• 123 Winding Way Dr

Water Interruption and Boil Water Advisory - Marlowe Ct. 1/11/18

Water service has been interrupted in the Marlowe Ct./Winding Way area in order to repair a water main break. Service will be restored as soon as repairs are completed.

Once water services is restored, the Water Department of the Frankfort Plant Board advises to boil the water before drinking or using it for cooking. The advisory is in effect for the following area:

·       Marlowe Ct from Hickory Dr to Winding Way Dr

·       123 Winding Way Dr

A vigorous boil for at least two minutes is recommended. This Boil Water Advisory is a precautionary measure due to a loss of pressure in the water main caused by Plant Board crews repairing a water main break.

This Advisory will remain in effect until lab analysis of water samples taken confirms that the potable water supply in the effected area is safe to drink. You will receive a notice when this advisory is lifted.

Boil Water Advisory for Wilkinson Blvd. is lifted

The Division of Water of the Kentucky Department of Environmental Protection has now cancelled the Boil Water Advisory on Wilkinson Blvd.

This Advisory was issued 1/4/18 due to the loss of pressure in the water main caused by Plant Board crews repairing a water main break.

The streets affected were:

• 701 to 715 Wilkinson Blvd

Water Interruption and Boil Water Advisory for Portion of Versailles Road

The Water Department of the Frankfort Plant Board has interrupted water service on Versailles Road due to a needed repairs. We advise to boil the water before drinking or using it for cooking. The advisory is in effect for the following area:

• 363 Versailles Rd #100-700

A vigorous boil for at least two minutes is recommended. This Boil Water Advisory is a precautionary measure due to a loss of pressure in the water main causedby Plant Board crews repairing a water main break.

This Advisory will remain in effect until lab analysis of water samples taken confirms that the potable water supply in the effected area is safe to drink. You will receive a notice when this advisory is lifted.

Water repairs and Boil Water Advisory on Wilkinson continue

The Frankfort Plant Board Water Department is continuing work on a 12” water main break that occurred at 6:30 pm last night. The extreme weather conditions have hampered repairs. A limited area on Wilkinson Blvd. from Clinton and Wilkinson to Leestown Ln. and Wilkinson are under a boil water advisory. The leak caused a large draw on the water system in the area and may have discolored water in the surrounding area.

The Water Department will be flushing after the water main is repaired. If your water is still discolored after running your tap for several minutes please call 352-4433 until 3:30 and 352-4372 after hours.

The water should be back on before noon. This advisory will remain in effect until lab analysis of water samples taken confirms that the potable water supply in the affected area is safe to drink.

You will receive a notice when this advisory is lifted. This will also effect traffic flow in the area. Please avoid the area if possible.

ICYMI: WAVE3 dropped from FPB cable lineup due to increasing fees

Because of the significant increase in retransmission consent fees that WAVE was seeking, the FPB Board of Directors did not execute a new agreement with WAVE. This decision was made in the interest of keeping our customers’ bills as low as possible.

FPB still offers WLEX, WKYT, WTVQ and WDKY out of Lexington and WHAS and WLKY out of Louisville. Look for WDRB news from Louisville to return by the end of the month.
