Telecom service interruption

The Frankfort Plant Board telecom services (cable, telephone, internet) are currently experiencing an outage due to an electric service interruption in Kentucky Utilities service area. This telecom outage will affect customers in portions of eastern Frankfort and Franklin County. Our services will be restored once Kentucky Utilities makes their repairs and restores their electric service.

WLEX-TV Signal Disruption

Beginning on Friday, October 4, WLEX-TV (FPB Channels 7, 29, and 507) began transmitting their signal at 50% power due to equipment installation on their transmitter.  FPB has done everything it can do to compensate for the reduction in signal.  Unfortunately, this reduction is scheduled to last until October 18, 2019.  As a result, there may be times during which WLEX’s signal on FPB Cable will become distorted or disappear altogether.

There are several methods available to FPB Cable customers to watch NBC content online.  FPB Cable customers can watch much of NBC’s programming live via https://www.nbc.com/live/nbc or The NBC App (iOS and Android).  Much of the same content is available after it airs, on demand, via https://www.nbc.com/shows/all/popular  In order to access this content, FPB Cable customers will need to register for an account via https://www.WatchTVEverywhere.com

FPB Cable customers with Advanced Set Top Boxes can also watch NBC programs after they air via FPB Video On Demand.

WLEX newscasts can be viewed online at https://www.lex18.com/live

FPB apologizes for the inconvenience and appreciates our customers’ patience as WLEX completes their work.
