** Interruption of Water Service / Boil Advisory **

On Tuesday 7/20/2021, there will be an interruption of water

 

service from 10:00 A.M. until 3:00 P.M. in the following areas:

 

 

·     100, 104, and 106 South University Dr.

 

·     101 Young Dr.

 

 

 

 

Immediately following there will be a Boil Water Advisory.

 

A vigorous boil for at least two minutes is recommended. This Boil Water Advisory is a precautionary measure due to a loss of pressure in the water main caused by Plant Board crews cutting and capping the old water main.

 

This Advisory will remain in effect until lab analysis of water samples taken confirms that the potable water supply in the affected area is safe to drink. You will receive a notice when the advisory is lifted.

Hydrant Flushing Locations for 7-15-2021

FPB Water crews will be flushing fire hydrants at the following locations on Thursday, July 15th.

  1. Evergreen Road

  2. Bryant Benson

  3. Louisville Road

  4. Game Farm

Hydrant flushing is necessary to maintain the integrity and quality of the distribution system and to ensure hydrants are functioning properly. This will also allow FPB to obtain firefighting flow information, which is shared with city and county fire departments.

The Water Department of the Frankfort Plant Board is notifying you that the Division of Water of the Kentucky Department for Environmental Protection has now canceled the Boil Water Advisory.

 

This Advisory was issued 7/12/21 due to a loss of pressure in the water main caused by plant board crews repairing a water main break.

 

The area affected was:

FPB Water crews will be flushing fire hydrants at the following locations on Wednesday, July 14th.

  1. Hunters Trace

  2. Louisville Rd.

  3. Armstrong Crossing

  4. Bridgeport Rd.

Hydrant flushing is necessary to maintain the integrity and quality of the distribution system and to ensure hydrants are functioning properly. This will also allow FPB to obtain firefighting flow information, which is shared with city and county fire departments.

FPB Water crews will be flushing fire hydrants at the following locations on Tuesday, July 12th.

  1. Holly Hill

  2. National Guard

Boil Water Advisory

The Water Department of the Frankfort Plant Board advises to boil the water before drinking or using it for cooking. The advisory is in effect for the following area:

·  207, 212, 216, 217, 218, 223, 229 Shelby St.

 

·  117, 213 W. Second St.
