OUTLOOK EXPRESS
Create a New Account

Step 1. 
On the Toolbar, click TOOLS and select ACCOUNTS from the menu.​


Step 2.
The Internet Accounts window opens.​
Toward the top right corner, click the ADD button and select MAIL from the menu.


Step 3.
The Internet Connection Wizard launches. 
Display name: Enter Your Name​. 
Click the NEXT button to continue.


Step 4.
Email Address: Enter your email address (username@fewpb.net). 
Click the NEXT button to continue.​


Step 5.
My Incoming mail server is a ? server: Set to POP3​. 
Incoming mail server: pop.gmail.com.
Outgoing server: smtp.gmail.com
Click the NEXT button to continue.


Step 6.
Account name: enter your full email address (username@fewpb.net) 
Passwords are case-sensitive.  Ensure your caps lock is disabled. 
CHECK the box: REMEMBER PASSWORD.  
DO NOT check the box Log on Using Secure Password Authentication. 
Click NEXT to continue.


Step 7.
Click the FINISH button to complete the wizard. 
IMPORTANT: You will need to enable SMTP authentication. ​

Step 8
The Internet Accounts window appears.​
Highlight the desired account and click the PROPERTIES button.


Step 9.  ​
Mail Account: You can give the name of the mail account anything you'd like.
CHECK the box: Include this account when receiving...


Step 10. 
Enabling SMTP Authentication:
CHECK the box: My server requires authentication
Click the SETTINGS button.


Step 11. 
Select Log On Using
Account name: enter the full email address (username@fewpb.net)
Password: enter the email password to your email account.
Remember, Passwords are case-sensitive, be sure your Caps Lock is not on.
CHECK the box: Remember Password
DO NOT check the box: Log on Using Secure Password Authentication.
Click the OK button.


​Step 12.
Select the Advanced tab.
Outgoing mail (SMTP): set to 465 and CHECK the box: SSL
Incoming mail (POP3): set to 995 and CHECK the box: SSL
Server Timeouts: Set to Long (5 Minutes)
Click the OK button.

Final Step:
Close any remaining configuration screens and attempt to send and receive email.​
