Youth Scholarship Program
/A look inside the Youth Scholarship Program brought to you by the Frankfort Plant Board and the Rotary Club of Frankfort.
As a publicly owned municipal utility, the Frankfort Plant Board’s mission is focused on playing a significant role in our community and serving Frankfort in many ways.
For more than 75 years, FPB has powered our community with the most valuable resources that are essential to enrich the quality of life - electric, water, cable, internet and more. Because we are neighbors serving neighbors, our employees are committed to provide exceptional service to our customers in Frankfort and surrounding areas. As a municipal utility, we focus on local needs, provide local jobs and return millions of dollars to the local economy. We also enjoy supporting and participating in community events that enhance the local experience.
Frankfort plant board timeline 1943-2018
In 1943, the City of Frankfort purchased the Tri-City Utilities Company to secure local municipal ownership of utilities, creating the Frankfort Electric and Water Plant Board. In the 76 years since, there have been a lot of changes and technical advances. In 2018, this timeline was unveiled in the lobby of FPB to chart our history.
