As a municipal utility, we focus on local needs, provide local jobs and return millions of dollars to the local economy. We also enjoy supporting and participating in community events that enhance the local experience.
Frankfort plant board timeline 1943-2018
In 1943, the City of Frankfort purchased the Tri-City Utilities Company to secure local municipal ownership of utilities, creating the Frankfort Electric and Water Plant Board. In the 76 years since, there have been a lot of changes and technical advances. In 2018, this timeline was unveiled in the lobby of FPB to chart our history.
