FPB Launches MLB Strike Zone Channel

FPB is now carrying MLB Network Strike Zone, a channel that takes viewers on a high-speed trip around Major League Baseball on Tuesday and Friday nights during the regular season. When live game telecasts air on MLB Network, MLB Network Strike Zone will bring fans to every game across the league, with up-to-the-minute highlights, live look-ins and updates, all commercial-free.

FPB Sports Plus cable subscribers can watch MLB Network Strike Zone on Channel 796.

“There is a lot of great MLB action on Tuesday and Friday nights and MLB Strike Zone takes customers from game to game. Much like the NFL version, fans will enjoy non-stop action: homeruns, great defense and outstanding pitching, all on one channel.” said FPB Assistant General Manager of Cable-Telecom John Higginbotham

“MLB Network Strike Zone provides baseball fans with the award-winning coverage of all 30 clubs they’ve come to rely on from MLB Network,” said Tony Petitti, President and CEO of MLB Network. “We’re excited to continue to expand the reach and scope of MLB Network’s programming.”

MLB Network is the ultimate television destination for baseball fans, featuring the Emmy Award-winning MLB Tonight, live games, original programming, highlights, and insights and analysis from the best in the business, including Bob Costas, Peter Gammons, Jim Kaat, Al Leiter and Harold Reynolds. MLB Network debuted on January 1, 2009 as the largest launch in cable television history and is currently distributed in approximately 68 million cable, telco TV and satellite homes throughout the U.S. and Puerto Rico.
