Statement from FPB on Senate Bill 220

Policy analysts and attorneys for the Frankfort Plant Board have reviewed Senate Bill 220 and assessed the impact. Every penny of cost this legislation imposes on FPB, a nonprofit municipal utility, will ultimately be paid by you, our FPB customers, not because we want that to happen but because everyone knows that is how “hidden taxes” work. They increase rates. That is why this is legislation we cannot support.
