Boil Water Advisory

The Water Department of the Frankfort Plant Board advises to boil the water before drinking or using it for cooking.  The advisory is in effect for the following area:

  • 2693 to 3721 Peaks Mill Rd.

A vigorous boil for at least two minutes is recommended. This Boil Water Advisory is a precautionary measure due to a loss of pressure in the water main caused by a water main break.

 This Advisory will remain in effect until lab analysis of water samples taken confirms that the potable water supply in the affected area is safe to drink. You will receive a notice when the advisory is lifted.

Boil Water Advisory

On Thursday 10/23/14 there will be an interruption of water service from 9:00 A.M. until 2:00 P.M. in the following areas:

  • Birchwood Ave from Hillwood Ave to 229 Birchwood Ave
  • 861,865 Chestnut Dr
  • 857,852 Pinewood Ave

 Immediately following there will be a Boil Water Advisory.

 This Advisory will remain in effect until lab analysis of water samples taken confirms that the potable water supply in the affected area is safe to drink. You will receive a notice when the advisory is lifted.

Boil Water Advisory Canceled

The Water Department of the Frankfort Plant Board is notifying you that the Division of Water of the Kentucky Department for Environmental Protection has now canceled the Boil Water Advisory.

This Advisory was issued 10/8/14 due to the loss of pressure in the water main caused by Plant Board crews replacing a broken main line valve.

The streets affected were:

  • Wilson St from Dabney St to Major St.
  • Dabney St from Kentucky Ave to Wilson St.
  • Major St from 710 Major St to Brawner St.

Cable-Telecom Service Interruption

Due to damage from last night’s storms, FPB Cable-Telecom crews will be making repairs in a portion of the service area.

In order to make the necessary repairs, customers will experience a service interruption. The impacted areas include:

Georgetown Road, Scruggs Lane, Switzer Road, Jones Lane and Elkhorn Trailer Park.

All cable-telecom services in the area will be impacted (broadband, cable, phone). Crews estimate the repairs could take 4-6 hours.
