Hydrant Flushing Locations for 6/8/16

FPB Water crews will be flushing fire hydrants at the following locations on Wednesday, June 8:

  • Silver Lake II
  • Indian Hills
  • Louisville Rd.

Hydrant flushing is necessary to maintain the integrity and quality of the distribution system and to ensure hydrants are functioning properly.  This will also allow FPB to obtain firefighting flow information, which is shared with city and county fire departments.

We ask that motorists please use caution in the flushing areas due to possible water in the roadway.  Some discoloration may occur in your tap water; this is normal.  If discoloration persists after running your faucet for a short time, please call 352-4372.

FPB Cable-Telecom Planned Maintenance Outages Scheduled for June 4

FPB Cable-Telecom crews will conduct planned maintenance service interruptions in multiple neighborhoods next Saturday, June 4. The interruption is needed to relocate significant fiber infrastructure along East Main Street in conjunction with the construction of the KSU Pedway Bridge.

The areas will be affected Saturday, June 4 from midnight until noon in the following areas:

  • Two Creeks
  • Schenkel Lane / Landings Drive
  • Versailles Rd., Timberlawn to Sunset Dr.
  • Springhill Estates, Ducker's Point
  • Versailles Rd., Tierra Linda to Best Western
  • Duncan Rd/ Millville
  • Hanly Ln
  • Governor's Place/Stoneleigh
  • East Main Street
  • KSU
  • Tierra Linda/ Galbraith Rd
  • Big Eddy
  • Pinehill/ Duckers Village
  • Links @ Duckers, Duckers Rd, East side Hickman Hill
  • Parkside Development(US 60 @ I-64)
  • Brighton Park
  • Lifestyles Condos

Cable, internet and telephone customers may see service affected or interrupted during these windows for no longer than 30 minutes at a time.

Boil Water Advisory 5/25/16

The Water Department of the Frankfort Plant Board advises to boil the water before drinking or using it for cooking. The advisory is in effect for the following area:

  • 18,20,22 Reilly Rd
  • Compton Dr from 101 Compton Dr to 204 Compton Dr

  • Cody Pass

  • Belair Dr

    A vigorous boil for at least two minutes is recommended. This Boil Water Advisory is a precautionary measure due to a loss of pressure in the water main caused by Plant Board Crews repairing a water main break.

    This Advisory will remain in effect until lab analysis of water samples taken confirms that the potable water supply in the effected area is safe to drink. You will receive a notice when this advisory is lifted.
