COMPLETED: FPB Cable-Telecom Planned Maintenance Outages Scheduled for June 11

All fiber work has been completed. Any service interruptions have now ended. Channels 10, 510, 20, 26, and 27 are now back on the air. Thanks for your patience during this maintenance window.  

 

FPB Cable-Telecom crews will conduct planned maintenance service interruptions in multiple neighborhoods Saturday, June 11. The interruption is needed to relocate significant fiber infrastructure along East Main Street in conjunction with the construction of the KSU Pedway Bridge.

The maintenance will take place Saturday, June 11 from 4:00AM until 4:00PM in the following areas:

  • Old Peaks Mill School Area
  • Steadmantown Ln.
  • Holt Ln.
  • Justice Ln.

Cable, internet and telephone customers in these areas may see service affected or interrupted during this window.

This maintenance will also create programming interruptions for all customers on FPB Cable channels 10, 510, 20, 26, and 27 between 4:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. on June 11.

Hydrant Flushing for 6/13/16

FPB Water crews will be flushing fire hydrants at the following locations on Monday, June 13:

  • The Maples
  • Indian Hills
  • Bentwood area
  • US 127
  • Twilight Trl.
  • Jones Ln.
  • Commercial Dr.

Hydrant flushing is necessary to maintain the integrity and quality of the distribution system and to ensure hydrants are functioning properly.  This will also allow FPB to obtain firefighting flow information, which is shared with city and county fire departments. 

We ask that motorists please use caution in the flushing areas due to possible water in the roadway.  Some discoloration may occur in your tap water; this is normal.  If discoloration persists after running your faucet for a short time, please call 352-4372.

Phone Service Update 4:25pm

FPB is continuing to work through a handful of issues with some individual phone features.  Fully functional phone service should be restored to nearly all of our customers.

FPB Phone Service Update 3:00pm 6/8/16

The FPB Telephone maintenance window closed at 10:00am this morning.  The large majority of our customers made the transition smoothly and service is completely restored. Unfortunately, a small percentage of our customers may be experiencing an on-going issue with phone services after this morning’s conversion. FPB and its service partner are aware of the issue and are working to correct the problem as expeditiously as possible.  FPB apologizes for the inconvenience this issue may be causing some customers.

UPDATED - FPB Telephone Planned Maintenance Outages - Wednesday, June 8

FPB Telephone crews will conduct planned service maintenance   impacting ALL FPB Phone customers from 12:01AM until 10:00AM Wednesday, June 8.

UPDATED (6/8/16 6:50am) This maintenance window has been extended until 10am Wednesday, June 8. 

The maintenance is needed to make upgrades to our phone service.

Telephone customers may see service affected or interrupted for a short period during this maintenance window.
