FPB Cable-Telecom Planned Maintenance Outage Set for September 13

FPB Cable-Telecom crews will conduct a planned maintenance service interruption throughout the entire service area in an effort to migrate the existing cable-telecom infrastructure from the current headend facility into the newly constructed cable-telecom headend.

The necessary service interruption will occur Tuesday, September 13.  Staff plans to minimize voice, video and data outages on a neighborhood by neighborhood basis for as short a time as possible but customers should plan on outages between 12:01am and 6am during the maintenance window.

The migration to the new facility will improve network reliability for customers and allow for enhanced service offerings in the future.

We appreciate patience during this migration into the new cable-telecom facility.

FPB Phone Service Outage

FPB phone customers are experiencing a system-wide telephone service outage. Staff is aware and working with our third party provider to find a resolution. We apologize for be inconvenience and hope to restore soon. Thank you for you patience during this phone service issue. 

Boil Water Advisory Canceled

The Water Department of the Frankfort Plant Board is notifying you that the Division of Water of the Kentucky Department of Environmental Protection  has now canceled the Boil Water Advisory.

This Advisory was issued 9/7/16 due to the loss of pressure in the water main caused by Plant Board crews repairing a water main break

The streets affected were:

• Holmes St from Collins St to 535 Holmes St

• Hudson St

• Gayle St

Update: Boil Water Advisory Expands

The Water Department of the Frankfort Plant Board advises to boil the water before drinking or using it for cooking. The advisory is in effect for the following area:

• Holmes St from Collins St to 535 Holmes St.

A vigorous boil for at least two minutes is recommended. This Boil Water Advisory is a precautionary measure due to a loss of pressure in the water main causedby Plant Board Crews repairing a water main break.

UPDATE - FPB Phone Service Restored

As of 2:30pm, third party crews in Indiana completed fiber repairs and FPB phone service should be completely restored. We apologize for the inconvenience and thank you for your patience during this issue.

FPB customers are still experiencing a phone service interruption due to a confirmed fiber cut in Indiana. FPB staff is working with the third party to assist in getting service restored. We appreciate your patience during this third party fiber issue.
