Boil Water Advisory

 

The Water Department of the Frankfort Plant Board advises to boil the water before drinking or using it for cooking. The advisory is in effect for the following area:

 

 

·      W. 4th st from Ewing st to Conway st

 

A vigorous boil, is recommended for at least two minutes. This Boil Water Advisory is a precautionary measure due to a loss of pressure in the water main caused by Plant Board crews repairing a water main break.

 

This Advisory will remain in effect until lab analysis of water samples taken confirms that the potable water supply in the effected area is safe to drink. You will receive a notice when the advisory is lifted.

Boil Water Advisory Cancellation - Downtown

The Water Department of the Frankfort Plant Board is notifying you that the Division of Water of the Kentucky Department for Environmental Protection has now canceled the Boil Water Advisory.

On Thursday 12/3/2020, there was an interruption of water service in the following areas:

·      Ann St from W Broadway St to 200 Ann St

·      West Main St from Ann St to St Clair St

·      Buffalo Alley

·      Lewis St from Broadway St to West Main St

·      227, 221, 223 West Broadway St

·      109 St Clair St

COVID Utility Relief Funds Still Available

There is still financial assistance available through the Healthy at Home Utility Relief Fund. This will provide relief for those at risk of natural gas, water, wastewater or electric service disconnection.

FPB customers can apply through Bluegrass Community Action Partnership. Customers can call 695-5615 or go to www.bgcap.itfrontdesk.com to set up an appointment to apply. DEADLINE HAS BEEN EXTENDED TO DEC. 31.

Interruption of water service / Followed by Water Boil Advisory

On Thursday 12/3/2020, there will be an interruption of water service from 1:30 P.M. until 7:30 P.M. in the following areas:

 

 

·      Ann St from W Broadway St to 200 Ann St

·      West Main St from Ann St to St Clair St

·      Buffalo Alley

·      Lewis St from Broadway St to West Main St

·      227,221,223 West Broadway St

·      109 St Clair St

 This Advisory was issued 11/27/20 due to a loss of pressure in the water main caused by Plant Board crews repairing a water main break.

 

 The area affected was:

 

·     1440 to 2060 Duncan Road

The Frankfort Plant Board water department has issued a boil water advisory for the following location:

1440 to 2060 Duncan Road

The advisory is being issued due to a loss of pressure caused by repairs made for a water main break. The advisory will remain in effect until lab analysis of water samples confirm the potable water supply is safe for consumption. Notification will be given when the advisory is lifted.

Beware of scams using FPB phone number

We’ve had multiple calls about the FPB phone number showing up on caller ID that, when answered, are claiming to be from a credit card company or an online purchasing company. Please be assured that this is not a call from FPB and that this is a scam. Do not give personal or financial information over the phone. And remember, if something sounds fishy, it probably is.

Transformer fire has caused temporary telecom outage downtown

A transformer fire that occurred downtown earlier today has caused some serious damage to several fiber cables. FPB’s Cable/Telecom Department is making repairs that will take some time to restore service. FPB is directly contacting business customers who have been affected.

A Transformer blew a fuse which caught the cutout on fire and burnt fiber cables behind the parking garage on Buffalo Alley today. This has caused a temporary telecom outage in the area.
