Boil Water Advisory Cancellation

The Water Department of the Frankfort Plant Board is notifying you that the Division of Water of the Kentucky Department for Environmental Protection has now canceled the Boil Water Advisory.

 

This Advisory was issued 5/13/21 due to a loss of pressure in the water main caused by plant board crews tying into the new water main on 2ND St.

 

The area affected was:

 

·      109, 200, 205, 215, 221, 309, 313, 316, 318, 320, 324, 328, 332, 417, 508, 510, 510.5, 511, 512, 513, 514, 517, 519, 520, 522, 526, 530 Capital Ave.

·     108, 116, 121, 125, 127 W. 4TH St.

·      102 E. 4TH St.

·      101, 113 E. 3RD St.

·      1, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, Felmer Ct.

·      325 Shelby St.

·      108, 112, 113, 115, 116, 119, 120 Todd St.

The following areas are under a boil water advisory at this time.

·      108, 116, 121, 125, 127 W. 4TH St.

·      102 E. 4TH St.

·      101, 113 E. 3RD St.

·      1, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, Felmer Ct.

·      325 Shelby St.

·      108, 112, 113, 115, 116, 119, 120 Todd St.

A vigorous boil for at least two minutes is recommended. This Boil Water Advisory is a precautionary measure due to a loss of pressure in the water main caused by Plant Board crews tying into the new water main on 2ND St.

 

This Advisory will remain in effect until lab analysis of water samples taken confirms that the potable water supply in the affected area is safe to drink. You will receive a notice when the advisory is lifted.

Temporary telecom outage planned for Second St. and Murray St.

Due to the relocation of a house on Murray St. today, FPB telecom crews will need to temporally remove a trunk line crossing Murray St. that will result in a couple of outages impacting East Second Street, West Second Street, and Murray St. There will be two outages, one this morning and another after the move is complete to restore the overhead lines. Each outage will last about 20-30 minutes.
