Hydrant Flushing Locations for 7-8-2021

FPB Water crews will be flushing fire hydrants at the following locations on Thursday, July 8th.

  1. Pinnacle Ct.

  2. Devil’s Hollow Rd.

  3. Moss Ln.

Hydrant flushing is necessary to maintain the integrity and quality of the distribution system and to ensure hydrants are functioning properly. This will also allow FPB to obtain firefighting flow information, which is shared with city and county fire departments.

The Water Department of the Frankfort Plant Board is notifying you that the Division of Water of the Kentucky Department for Environmental Protection has now canceled the Boil Water Advisory.

 

This Advisory was issued 7/6/21 due to a loss of pressure in the water main caused by plant board crews tying into the new water main.

 

The area affected was:

Boil Water Advisory Cancellation

The Water Department of the Frankfort Plant Board is notifying you that the Division of Water of the Kentucky Department for Environmental Protection has now canceled the Boil Water Advisory.

 

This Advisory was issued 7/6/21 due to a loss of pressure in the water main caused by plant board crews repairing a water main break.

 

The area affected was:

 

·   100 Capital Ave.

 

·    114 W. Second St.

Emergency Broadband Benefits now available to eligible FPB customers

FPB is an approved participant in the Emergency Broadband Benefit, a new Federal Communications Commission (FCC) program. The temporary benefit will help to lower the cost of broadband service for eligible households impacted by the pandemic. The $3.2 billion Emergency Broadband Benefit program provides a discount of up to $50 per month toward broadband service for eligible households.

Boil Water Advisory

On Tuesday 7/6/2021, there will be an interruption of water

 

service from 9:00 A.M. until 3:00 P.M. in the following areas:

·     102 To 121 Shelby St.

·     104 Battle Alley

This scheduled outage was originally postponed from Wednesday 6/30/2021 and then again from Thursday 7/1/2021 due to unforeseen circumstances. We apologize for any inconveniences this may have caused.

 

Immediately following there will be a Boil Water Advisory.

 

A vigorous boil for at least two minutes is recommended. This Boil Water Advisory is a precautionary measure due to a loss of pressure in the water main caused by Plant Board crews tying into the new water main on 2ND St.

 

This Advisory will remain in effect until lab analysis of water samples taken confirms that the potable water supply in the affected area is safe to drink. You will receive a notice when the advisory is lifted.
