Post-Flooding Electric Reconnection Process

If you are customer wanting to restore electric service that was off due to flooding, you must make this request through the Frankfort/Franklin Co. Emergency Operations Center. The dedicated number just for this process is 502-352-2280 This line will be operational from 8am – 8pm every day .

The electric department pulled every meter that had water intrusion, so those will need an electrical inspection before service can be restored.

After the electrical inspector completes and approves the inspection, it will be sent to FPB to process the request. The electric department will then restore power.

We understand customers may be troubled by this process. This a public safety directive put in place to meet the current statewide electrical code. We appreciate your cooperation and are working to get all service restored as soon as possible.
