FOX Sports 1 is a new national 24-hour multi-sport network.

FOX Sports 1 isn’t replacing FOX Sports on the FOX broadcast network, it’s a new channel that is going to enhance and supplement it.  In fact, in the first 18 months from FOX Sports 1’s launch, FOX broadcast network, will carry NFL regular season games, playoffs and Super Bowl XLVIII, regular season MLB, the All-Star Game and World Series, NASCAR Sprint Cup races including the Daytona 500, Saturday night college football, the Big Ten and Pac-12 football championship games and big UFC cards.

FOX Sports 1 Will Be Different

Over the past several years, FOX Sports has acquired or renewed rights agreements with sports leagues and organizations like the FIFA World Cup, MLB, NASCAR, NFL, UFC and collegiate conferences like the Big 12, Big East, Conference USA, Pac-12, and soccer leagues around the world to develop a full, robust programming schedule. FOX Sports 1 will have nearly 5,000 hours of live event, news and original programming annually.

FOX Sports 1 has six live sports pillars:

college football and basketball, NASCAR,  world class soccer, UFC, MLB [in 2014] and is exploring other sports beyond the 6 pillars (ie. High School Football and Supercross). FOX Sports 1 boasts over 1,500 hours dedicated to live sporting events annually and that number will continue to grow
