What You Should Know

To help protect and serve our employees and customers in our community and to mitigate the spread of COVID-19 while continuing our business operations, FPB is taking the following actions:

  • FPB lobbies are closed to walk-in customers. The drive-thru at the administration building will remain in operation. We have arranged for our employees to work remotely and continue to support our network of services and you, our customers, with the high quality service on which we all rely.

  • FPB has suspended service disconnection for non-payment in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. We are also currently waiving any new late fees. While this is not normal procedure, we are sensitive to the well-being of all of our customers. Though disconnect may not occur, it remains the responsibility of each customer to pay as they can, which will help to avoid a larger balance in the future. We encourage any member who is facing financial difficulty during this time to call us. You can reach us at 352-4372.

  • FPB has suspended use of the community room and water monsters.

  • FPB has temporarily suspended all home energy audits.

  • FPB is asking customers to self-install equipment as much as possible during this time. Cable technicians will drop off equipment at homes, customers can call 352-4505 for installation assistance by phone. In the event a technician needs to enter the home, we are asking screening questions to help keep our employees and customers safe.

  • FPB employees in the field have been trained on protecting themselves and those with whom they come in contact. We have instructed our employees who have direct customer contact to take social distancing precautionary measures, such as avoiding handshakes.

  • FPB is increasing hygiene measures in our facilities based on CDC recommendations.

  • FPB is minimizing employee interactions with each other and the public. Employees are teleworking and crews are reporting directly to job sites rather than congregating at our service center.

  • FPB has restricted all business travel and is encouraging employees to leverage technology to hold meetings whenever possible.
