May 18, 2021 Notice of Public Hearing

The Electric and Water Plant Board of the City of Frankfort, KY will hold a Special Board Meeting to conduct a Public Hearing on Tuesday, May 18, 2021 at 5:00 p.m. or as soon thereafter as can be heard, to solicit oral or written comments regarding Amending its Applicable Policies/Procedures to Conform to House Bill 312’s New Open Records Requirements.

As state and local public health orders are amended or changed, the meeting may be held concurrently or exclusively by video teleconference per KRS 61.826 and Kentucky Senate Bill 150 if in-person attendance is not permitted or limited.

Hence, this meeting is a video teleconference meeting for members of the public. Staff, Board members or the public may participate by video teleconference link.

Depending on the requirements of state and local public health orders, if the hearing is conducted exclusively by video teleconference per KRS 61.826 and Senate Bill 150, then there will be no primary physical location for the hearing. However, if the meeting is conducted concurrently both by video teleconference and in-person, then the primary physical location for the hearing will be the FPB administration building located at 151 Flynn Avenue, Frankfort, KY 40601.

In-person attendance will be limited per state and local public health orders. Currently, in-person attendance is limited to the lesser of 60% capacity or the maximum number of individuals that provides for appropriate social distancing.

Because of the public health necessity of imposing social distancing to help stop the spread of COVID-19, the FPB Board is providing members of the public the following link to access the meeting:

Public comments will be accepted for the public hearing by emailing comments to kpoe@fewpb.com or clindsey@fewpb.com by Monday, June 14, 2021. Those wishing to speak at the Public Hearing must notify kpoe@fewpb.com or clindsey@fewpb.com by 4:00 p.m. EST, Tuesday, May 18, 2021, so that FPB staff may email you a link to the meeting.

The proposed amended tariff and policies/procedures are available to the public the Frankfort Plant Board Administration building located at 151 Flynn Avenue, Frankfort, Kentucky 40601, online at www.fpb.cc, via email to Kathy Poe at kpoe@fewpb.com or by calling Kathy Poe at 502-352-4570.

The new Amended Tariff and Policies/Procedures are proposed to be effective on June 16, 2021.
