The Electric and Water Plant Board of the City of Frankfort, KY will conduct a Public Hearing on Tuesday, June 18th, 2024, at 5:00 p.m. or as soon thereafter as can be heard, at the FPB Administration Building located at 151 Flynn Ave., Frankfort, KY 40601 to solicit oral or written comments regarding electric tariff revisions related to area lighting, net metering applications and transfer of credits, and a time-of-use residential pilot program. A summary of the proposed changes are provided below.
Area Lighting - Fix a typographical error related to rates for 371 W LED fixtures. Establish a new tariff section to separate out pole rental rates into a different line item.
Net Metering - Proposed retirement of the $10 application fee for new net metering customers. Clarify and set limits to transfer of energy credits between electric accounts.
Time-of-Use Rates - Revise the electric tariff to include a pilot time-of-use rate for residential electric customers. Proposed rate schedule will include an on peak, off peak, and super off peak time period for summer and winter seasons. The pilot program will be limited to the first 200 customers requesting service under this rate.
