Electric re-connects post-flooding

Any electric service that was disconnected remotely, pulling the electric meter, or killing out a section of homes or businesses will require an electric inspection before FPB can turn these services back on.

The City and County have waived the inspection fee and the Frankfort/Franklin County Emergency Operations Center (EOC) is currently in the process of bringing in additional inspectors. FPB has been directed by the EOC to turn off any additional homes or businesses that were affected by the flooding (with water in theses structures) that wasn’t turned off originally. This is to provide safety for the customers to prevent both the possibility of electrocution and structures catching on fire.

Customers can contact an electrical inspector through Planning & Zoning at 502-875-8701.
