The Frankfort Plant Board (FPB) News and Updates page provides customers detailed information on all pertinent happenings regarding FPB including, boil water advisories, network negotiations, outage reports and more.
We have received reports that scammers are calling community members claiming to be FPB billing representatives. The scammers try obtain personal information like social security number and mailing address. This is NOT FPB making these calls. Do not ever give personal information over the phone to anyone who calls you.
On Thursday 5/27/2021, there will be an interruption of water service from 5:30 P.M. until 8:30 P.M. in the following areas:
· 315, 317 West Second St.
· 214, 216, 220 (#1, #2, #3, #4), 223, 224, 225, 227 Conway St.
Immediately following there will be a Boil Water Advisory. A vigorous boil for at least two minutes is recommended.
This Boil Water Advisory is a precautionary measure due to a loss of pressure in the water main caused by Plant Board crews tying into the new water main on 2ND St.
This Advisory will remain in effect until lab analysis of water samples taken confirms that the potable water supply in the affected area is safe to drink. You will receive a notice when the advisory is lifted.

The Water Department of the Frankfort Plant Board is notifying you that the Division of Water of the Kentucky Department for Environmental Protection has now canceled the Boil Water Advisory.
This Advisory was issued 5/20/21 due to a loss of pressure in the water main caused by plant board crews tying into the new water main on 2ND St.

FPB Water crews will be flushing fire hydrants at the following locations on Friday, May 21st.
South Frankfort Area
Hydrant flushing is necessary to maintain the integrity and quality of the distribution system and to ensure hydrants are functioning properly. This will also allow FPB to obtain firefighting flow information, which is shared with city and county fire departments.
On Thursday, May 20, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., there will be an interruption of water service followed by a boil water advisory for the following areas:
• 109, 200, 205, 215, 221, 309, 313, 316, 318, 320, 324, 328, 332, 417, 508, 510, 510.5, 511, 512, 513, 514, 517, 519, 520, 522, 526, 530 Capital Ave.
• 108, 116, 121, 125, 127 W. Fourth St.
• 102 E. Fourth St.
• 101, 113 E. Third St.
• 1, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, Felmer Ct.
• 325 Shelby St.
• 108, 112, 113, 115, 116, 119, 120 Todd St.
Immediately following there will be a Boil Water Advisory.

FPB Water crews will be flushing fire hydrants at the following locations on Wednesday May 19th.
South Frankfort Area
Hydrant flushing is necessary to maintain the integrity and quality of the distribution system and to ensure hydrants are functioning properly. This will also allow FPB to obtain firefighting flow information, which is shared with city and county fire departments.
We are currently experiencing a power outage in the area of Montclair Rd. and Colonial Trace. Crews have been dispatched to the area and will be working to restore power as quickly and safely as possible. Thank you for your patience.
On Saturday morning, May 22, the electric department will upgrade the facilities in the south Frankfort area. This will require an electric outage from 8 a.m. to noon.
The following areas will be affected:
Capital Ave. going east to Kentucky River from State St. to Battle Alley. Examples of streets include: Murray, Paul Sawyier, E. Second, Third and Fourth Streets and E. Todd.
A few houses off Lafayette, Shelby, Shaw and Woodland.

· 100, 103, 105, 107 Skyview Dr
· 109 to 159 Skyview Dr.
Immediately following there will be a Boil Water Advisory.
A vigorous boil for at least two minutes is recommended. This Boil Water Advisory is a precautionary measure due to a loss of pressure in the water main caused by Plant Board crews cutting out an existing T.
This Advisory will remain in effect until lab analysis of water samples taken confirms that the potable water supply in the affected area is safe to drink. You will receive a notice when the advisory is lifted.

Frankfort Plant Board Water Dept.
The Frankfort Plant Board will begin its annual hydrant flushing on Monday May 17, 2021. Flushing is necessary to maintain the integrity and quality of the distribution system and to insure hydrants are functioning properly. This will also allow FPB to obtain firefighting flow information, which is shared with city and county fire departments.
We ask that motorist please use caution in the flushing area due to possible water in the roadway. Some discoloration may occur in your tap water; this is normal. If discoloration persists after running your faucet for a short time please call 352-4372.
