FPB customers in some areas are currently experiencing telecommunications service interruptions due to the ongoing flooding situation. Our teams are actively working to restore services to all affected areas.

 IMPORTANT SECURITY ALERT: We have received reports of scammers calling customers and demanding payment to restore services. Please be aware:

  • We NEVER request payment over the phone to restore services

  • We will NEVER ask you to provide payment information to expedite restoration

  • If your property has not sustained physical damage, no work needs to be performed at your location

 Our restoration efforts are underway across the affected service areas. We appreciate your patience as we work to resolve these issues.

Boil Water Advisory - Cancellation

The Water Department of the Frankfort Plant Board is notifying you that the Division of Water of the Kentucky Department for Environmental Protection has now canceled the Boil Water Advisory.

 

This Advisory was issued 4/7/25 due to a loss of pressure in the water main caused by plant board crews repairing a water main break.

 

The area affected was:

·      200, 201, 202, 202 #4 Limestone Dr.

FPB Water Treatment Plant pumping again

GREAT NEWS! The electrical equipment at the FPB Water Treatment Plant has been reconnected and the plant is back in operation. Your conservation efforts allowed us time to safely turn the equipment back on. We are grateful to our customers and thankful for your support. Thankful to our operators and all those who helped get us back in operation. They will work throughout the night to get all the storage tanks filled.

Additional telecom damage due to flooding

FPB sustained additional flood-related damage to additional fiber cables this morning when the high water level of the river snapped another telecom line that crosses the river at Glenns Creek Road across the water to near the Capitol Parking Garage, Crews are making as many preparations as possible while they wait for the water to recede enough to safely access the area and start pulling new line across the river. Given the nature of the situation, the earliest restoration times are currently estimated at Wednesday night/Thursday morning.

East Side Telecom outage

Frankfort Plant Board is aware of a large cable/telecom outage on the east side of Frankfort.

The affected areas include:

Silverlake area

Country Lane area

Ravencrest

Democrat Dr

Corporate Drive area

Part of Hanley Ln and Tierra Linda

Boil Water Advisory - Limestone Dr

The Water Department of the Frankfort Plant Board advises to boil the water before drinking or using it for cooking. The advisory is in effect for the following area:

 

200, 201, 202, 202 #4 Limestone Dr.

A vigorous boil for at least three minutes is recommended. This Boil Water Advisory is a precautionary measure due to a loss of pressure in the water main caused by Plant Board crews repairing a water main break.

 

This Advisory will remain in effect until lab analysis of water samples taken confirms that the potable water supply in the affected area is safe to drink.
